Set up your Netgems Email Account with Mozilla Thunderbird

This guide will show you how to set up your Netgems email account in Mozilla Thunderbird; Thunderbird is a free email application that is easy to set up and customise. Download Thunderbird, by visiting https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/thunderbird/ and clicking ‘download’.

Once Thunderbird is installed and set-up, open the application and follow the steps below.

Step 1: To start with, select the link that says ‘Email’ under ‘Create a new account’ which will be on the first screen you see when you opened the app, or click local folder if you don’t see it.

Step 2: A window will have opened up asking if you would like to create a new email address, we are using an email that we have already created, so select “Skip this and use my existing email”.

Step 3: You will now have another window, here you can enter the name of the email account (you choose this) and your email (provided to you by Netgems ie. you@yourbusiness.com) and also the password sent to you by Netgems.

Step 4: Press continue. This should be ready to go, if you have any issues with getting your Netgems email set up please contact us.
